About these docs¶
This site documents ONIX — a private, multi-venue market-data, research and trading platform — against a fixed set of source commits. It replaces an earlier documentation set that described a different, now-retired generation of the platform.
Who this is for¶
Someone who needs to reason accurately about what ONIX does. That includes engineers working on adjacent parts of the system, reviewers checking whether a claim is supported, and anyone deciding how much weight to place on a particular capability.
It is not a marketing site, not a sales asset, and not a user manual for a product you can sign up for. ONIX is private and pre-general-availability.
How this documentation was produced¶
The rewrite ran in three recorded phases.
Recovery and pinning. The previous documentation set was recovered path-by-path from its source history — 69 explicit file objects, not a blanket merge — and its historical build was reproduced twice with its original pinned dependencies to confirm the artifact was real. The current frontend, backend, macOS and iOS repositories were pinned to exact commits and trees, along with the exact upstream NautilusTrader version and the tracked production record. Every input hash was recorded.
Classification. All 61 pages of the previous set were classified before any new page was written: what to rewrite, what to merge, what to generate, what to retire, and what to quarantine. That matrix is vendored into this repository unchanged and is checked against its recorded hash on every build.
Rewriting against evidence. Separate lanes rewrote the product, backend, and native and MCP sections, each reading only immutable Git objects at the pins and each producing a machine-readable evidence packet alongside its pages. A separate reviewer with no write access attempted to falsify representative claims. An integrator owned navigation, cross-cutting pages, the route contract and the build.
Known limits¶
Stating these plainly is more useful than a completeness claim.
